We need your help to change lives and perceptions about what people with disabilities can do.
Having opportunities to participate in the arts is something many of us take for granted.
But who provides opportunities for Chris and others like him?
"VSA arts has given me my career, quite literally." CHRIS IMBROSCIANO'S STORY OF SUCCESS
Greetings! Christopher Imbrosciano was in junior high school when he first heard about VSA arts. He was active in theater and had even received a Meritorious Achievement in Theatre Award. But Chris, who has cerebral palsy, says he wouldn't be where he is today without VSA arts. "If VSA arts wasn't looking for an artist with a disability, I would have probably been too intimidated..." he admits. But his perception of what his life could be soon changed. Today, because of programs supported by VSA arts, Chris is a professional actor who performs on stage and film. He was the first VSA arts apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. He went on to get his Actors Equity membership after he starred in VSA arts' production of Inside/Out in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
As the leading arts and disability organization in the world, VSA arts invests in creating opportunities for people with disabilities. Our commitment to inclusion helps Chris, and so many others like him, to participate in arts programming and realize their dreams.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE LIVES AND PERCEPTIONS ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES CAN DO.
Please help us continue to create a world where everyone can learn through, participate in, and enjoy the arts. Thank you so much,
